The reason Americans are singing it is that the Americans singing it are far more famous and superior to the non Americans who sang it. This is just a routine in a famous old American TV show. It is an American thing....you wouldn't understand. Also as "mush" as I love......it is just not the same as Non Americans.

The guitar was made by Gibson. George used Gibsons in his career. I think this is a custom L-5 (like the one Mother Maybelle Carter played), but as hers was sunburst with a black pickguard, George's was a red one with a white pickguard.
