Amazing song by an amazing band. Gilmore still sounds great at this age

I didn't bring up Nirvana or Oasis, somebody asked if they were classic, and I answered. Moving on...
When punk happened, it was as a response to the self-fellating arena rock of bands like Boston. Pink Floyd, to be fair, never scraped the bottom of that barrel on their worst day. In fact, part of The Wall is about this very problem.
But when Waters left, suddenly you have a band playing Comfortably Numb to an arena, sans irony. True Floyd fans did stick by them, but the world at large didn't.

could there be a song that speaks for the epitome of the human experience more so than this? the passage of time is the one thing we all have in common, no matter what time period we were born into.
I think Floyd summed it up all too well- in both lyrics and music.
I listened to this when I was younger, and felt the magnitude of what it would be like to be older looking upon the past. Now that I am older, I feel the regret, remorse, etc., is just as they had sung about.
