Thank you for these memories!
I love Bob Hope, Hollywood, and the times of years gone by.
I wish I could go back in time.
Oh what a time it was!
Thank you, so much!

So he was - his cousins lived near my workmate in Hitchin, sunny Hertfordshire, God Bless The Geeza!

I want to say 'hi' to Bob and talk to him when I get over there.

Saw Bob in Vetenam when I was 19. He was a naturalized American. Never a more true American.

What happened to real talent. You know, when the performers did it all?.... Those were the days. I love Bob Hope. His movies always makes me cry with laughter and now I can hear his beautiful voice in song. Thanks for this.

A great American....he gave so much of himself for our servicemen. Recalled him coming to Okinawa in 67, thanks for posting.

CONQUER9111, your Great Great Uncle was just that....great.
I remember watching him as a young boy and growing up with his TV specials and movies. For a guy to keep the attention of 6-year old boy all the way up to his adulthood, he (your Uncle Bob, in this case) had to have a lot of talent and a likable personality. He just plain rocked and was (in my opinion) the true king of comedy. I can see why you'd miss him so much. |
