I've been a Shirley Bassey fan since 1965 (I was only 8). Shirley looks gorgeous here, and she is in great voice. However, I think the orchestration of Goldfinger was awful. It sounded like a few musicians were off key. The video was saved by a decent version of Diamonds are Forever.

Obviously she was trying for something with this different. Possibly working on figuring what she was trying to do would be more productive than criticizing. No question it is certainly different than I would expect. |
