I agree with Ed when he said that Jonny is the master of writing parts for songs that seem distracting at first, but after a couple of listens seems to fit in perfectly.
Brilliance has been acheived here.

this really is hypnotic. sometimes, i just got it hours in the head, it's a kind of a mental trance.

nothing is ever COMPLETELY chaotic. But i never said this was chaotic, i just said it sounds so because it's very worldly, and is considered chaotic COMPARED to what we usually hear in films music

it creates the allusion of chaos
b/c keep in mind at times, even anarchy is staged
just as even chaos is organized

~~READ THIS~~
Young Sally was walking down in the park. A stranger came up and asassinated her, and he hung her in his closet. If you send this to 5-10 different videos, the person you love the most will make out with you and ask you out. If you don't, the stranger will come and asassinate you, and throw you in his closet where the rest of the bodies are.

Free Jazz is very chaotic, and it is still music.
"Convergence", on the other hand, is not chaotic. The instruments never lose their rhythm, and as the title suggests they all fall into unison. It only sounds chaotic to the unperceptive ear.
