I love this version. I think it is better than the original an I'm a huge Beatles fan.

Bass player is a guy named Jerry Jermott who played on many albums on Atlantic Records. He along with another bass player named David Hood played at Fame Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama(same Muscle Shoals that mentioned in Sweet Home Alabama) ,Duane had to twist Picketts' arm a little to record Hey jude and it turned out to be one of his biggest sellers & helped bring Duane to the attention of Clapton & others.

Also Please Be With Me on Anthology Vol 1 for some beautiful dobro by Duane on one of the prettiest songs ever! There's also some great stuff on Anthology Vol 2 including Duane singing on John Lee Hookers' song Dimples. Listen to the killer gtr. tone he uses on the last solo. Never heard him use that exact tone on any other songs. Check out Walk on Gilded Splinters on Anthology vol 2 from Ton Ton Macoute and Rollin Stone on vol 1 also from Johnny Jenkins & it was a Coricidin bottle for sure!:0)
