My question is what is the point of all this? What else do we need to understand other than that a plane went through the buildings and killed many people. Why cant it all just be left alone.

Question to the Purdue team: is your representation of the core columns based on the tower blueprints? They seem a little too widely spaced and a little too thin compared with photos taken during the construction.
Perhaps this less than strictly accurate representation was done to let us better see the plane?
